In 2001 Professor Bar-Zohar was knighted by the President of France, who awarded him the title “Chevalier de la Legion d'Honneur."

In December 2002 Bar-Zohar was awarded the “International Migration Award” by the International Organization for Migration, grouping more than 150 nations. In October 2005 he was awarded the Ben-Gurion prize.

In February 2007 Bar Zohar published “Shimon Peres – The biography” (Random house, New -York).
